When True Nature Connects, We Can Blend in Harmony

Milk and water seem different from each other, yet the quality of water is already present within milk. So when water enters milk, it is not something completely foreign; even as they blend, it does not lose its own quality.

People are the same. Outward appearance, temperament, thoughts, and habits may differ, but everyone has an originally clear nature and a seed of Buddha-nature. When we see that nature, even someone who does not fit well with us is not simply an object to cut off completely.

When a person with good nature mixes with others, that nature is not necessarily defiled. Rather, when the clear mind within me meets the clear seed within the other person, harmony and understanding begin.

Today, rather than creating distance by seeing only differences, may you live harmoniously while seeing the clear nature already present in one another.
