Pure Knowing Does Not Need the Self Added to It
Building a view on top of a view means adding our own thoughts and judgments again on top of pure awareness. It is enough for there to be only the place that simply knows, but when the mind that says 'I have known' attaches itself, discrimination begins.
A mountain is a mountain, and the sea is the sea. In the place that knows things just as they are, there is no exaggeration, possession, or comparison. Just as a clean mirror reflects an object, the mind too must be able to reflect things as they are.
The moment the mind called 'I' attaches, comparison arises: 'I know, so why do you not know?' Then liking and disliking continue. That is why a practitioner must practice leaving awareness as awareness.
Today too, do not paint the self over the mind. I hope you look at the world with simple, clear knowing.
